Staying busy in the shop is what we do. While we work on finishing products on one side of the shop we are cutting some of our Sparked Metal Works collapsible grills to have on hand for upcoming events.

From an idea, cutting, some light grinding, and finally a powdercoated bigfoot. This was a great project that really shines once it was completed. Customer love it and we loved making it.

A welda.... A good welda.
You gotta be a good welder to stick the metal together. Knowing what you're welding and how to best weld it can make all the difference when joining 2 pieces of metal. Nothing is worse than a failure after it leaves the shop. Best case scenario it is a piece of yard art.... Worst case something catastrophic happens on a vehicle more piece of equipment.

We recently had a customer purchase one of our modular 7 panel fire pits. That isn't out of the ordinary. What surprised us was when the customer reached back out to us asking if we offered a grill option for that pit design! Of course we got to work drawing up a version that will fit up to that specific design and meet all the needs of the customer. Good fitment, great looks, and long lasting quality. Just another example of what we do here at Sparked Metal Works. Taking ideas and turning them to reality!

At Sparked Metal Works we generally stick to the CNC stuff. Signs, brackets, custom fire pits, ect. We've been asked about hand saws before and it just takes soooo much time to do the setup and scaling for each saw on the CNC table. So we decided to start cutting the hand saws with the a hand torch as well! It speed up the process for simpler designs and definitely makes each piece more one of a kind.

If you've been following along then you've seen some of the designs and cuts leading up to this. If you are just joining us welcome, take a seat, and click that follow. This is the final.product after custom cutting 3 designs on 4 blades that were provided. Address sign (x2), last name sign and of course an elk with a PNW background of trees and mountains. One address is mounted on a stake.... The other 3 and assembled and qelded together to form an eye catching scene. The 3 bladder sign will hang between 2 posts with some chain and be sure to welcome guests.

CNC is great, but sometimes you just want to quickly cut a simple design. To try to cut down on some of the setup time of cutting these some of these hand saws, I thought we would try the @arccaptain_us Cut55. This should speed up production on the simpler designs coming out of the shop! This machine was up and running some test cuts within about 20 minutes after being delivered.

When cutting these 'ol hand saws on a cnc table, all the time it seems is in the positioning. You only get a chance to cut once so you have to ensure that the alignment is correct and everything is going to fit on the saw plate.

Maybe I'll move to cutting the hand saws by hand....

Customer liked their 50's pickup so much they decided to get another of their favorites.... a Porsche 930! Designed and modified till the customer was happy then we let the sparked fly on the table. Are there any car designs you would like to see us cut? Let us know in the comments!

We cut your design into authentic large scale saw blades. This was a 56" blade that turned out great! We heard address sign and knew we had to nail this. Mt Rainier and a curtain of trees proudly displayed at the end of this couples driveway, welcoming friends and family!
We have several options available still so reach out. Up to 50" available!

After cutting a recent project, we had a unique "L" shape left. We popped the lay out into CAD and started filling with cuts. We went with a bunch of our garden gnomes since they are always a great seller. We also fit in a few bears, bigfoot, and bunnies for our garden stakes. We have a big event coming up this Labor Day and these will definitely be headed out to Packwood with us.

Another one of our multi-panel fire pits will be headed out the door shortly! These are available in 30", 35", and 40" versions. Sparked Metal Works modular fire pits are a great option for backyards, campsites, and more. They pack flat to take on the go, lean against that cabin wall till the next visit, or keep ip all year long. Made from thick, sturdy, 10g steel, these will last for years!

All panels are the same size however they come in 6 panel (30"), 7 panel (35"), and 8 panel (40"). Fire pit has a height of 16" tall. Need a 30" but may way a larger pit in the future? Buy the 6 panel 30" now, and contact us in the future to buy 2 more custom panels! Simply slide the new panels into your existing pit!
